01 / GETTING STARTED

Get set up
in four steps.

Have the tenancy details, current rates and latest meter readings ready.

  1. Add your flat

    Enter its details. If you manage more than one flat, each has its own record.

  2. Add the tenancy

    Enter the tenant, rent, tenancy dates and the day you prepare the monthly statement.

  3. Set up recurring charges

    Add fixed monthly charges, such as the building charge or internet.

  4. Add the meters

    Enter the starting readings and unit prices. RentIQ uses these to calculate consumption costs.

The tenant app and automation are included in both paid plans. You record rate changes and incoming payments.

  1. Your tenant submits a reading

    They enter the reading and attach a photo in their own app. Reminders help them keep up with readings.

  2. Review the submitted reading

    Check the reading and photo. If it needs correcting, you can send it back to your tenant.

  3. Prepare the monthly statement

    Consumption costs, rent, recurring and one-off charges come together in an itemised document that can be sent by email.

  4. Record the payment

    Enter the amount received and keep track of outstanding items. The system can also send reminders.

What makes up
the monthly total?

Your tenant receives an itemised statement. You can look back at previous months, and correct or void a document when needed.

The settlement document is not a Hungarian tax invoice. Continue using your usual invoicing and bookkeeping services.
